STATION 7 - THE TIDAL MUDFLAT

A tidal mudflat is a specific wetland lying between vegetated marsh and the water's edge, which is alternately exposed and submerged by tides. Tidal mudflats are rich with life. The more visible mud organisms feed on microscopic ones and in turn are eaten by birds and mammals, when the tide is out.
